988 DJ – Resolutions for 2013
We spent a little time with our 988 DJs on top of their busy schedules and asked them if they’d accomplished their 2012’s resolutions, and what wishes and resolutions they have in 2013.
Anson – Family Outing, Gather-Gather
Anson shared, he has accomplished his resolution of going for a family holiday in April 2012. It’s also the first time he went on an overseas trip with his family. “The entire itinerary to Taiwan was planned and organised together with my siblings. Love it!” remarked Anson with excitement.
For unaccomplished resolutions, he was a little shy to admit that he hasn’t been very successful at losing weight. We at Red Tomato feel that dieting is like a lifelong career, don’t you agree? Don’t worry Anson, we, the editorial team at Red Tomato will keep you in check!
As for 2013, Anson wishes to spread the joy and happiness at work and to everyone at home, and good health. “I have not much expectation in the area of love, as it’s taking a secondary priority at the moment”.
Anson also shared he would like to pick up a new language in 2013. But he’s also sceptical: “If I can’t master the English language, would I be able to do well in other languages?” As a DJ, mastery in a language is already a given; we know you can do it Anson!
We also asked Anson if there was a wish he would asked for, what would it be? He just laughed out loud and replied, “An unrealistic desire is to be a someone lovable… but on a more serious note – God, I wish you would pay off my house loan, car loan, credit card bills and give me a VVIP ticket around the world! Yeah!“
Kian – I wish to publish a novel
When we asked about Kian’s plans for 2012, his immediate response was “That’s something close to my heart. There were three things which I wanted to do for the year. First on the list is to learn swimming, but I have not been very successful. Second is to learn how to ride a motorcycle, and I haven’t gotten very far on that too. Third is to learn Japanese, and so far so good – I have progressed quite well and have also taken some preliminary exams.” 3 out of 1 is still acceptable, Kian.
Kian adds, “Even though I wasn’t able to accomplish what I set out to do (i.e. learning how to swim and ride a motorcycle), there were so many other things that came along and filled the gap, and looking back, I am still pretty happy. I will be sure to complete one of them in 2013.”
As for family matters, Kian is wishing for a new addition to the family. He will also continue to do his best for work. Kian has always dreamt of becoming a writer. He hopes his current undertakings will give him the exposure and experience needed to help him move towards that goal, and hopes to eventually publish a novel.
If there’s one wish he would make, and like Anson, it will be the safety and good health for his family. He believes a healthy life leads to a healthy mind, and with that we can accomplish much more!
Hao Min – To change negativity to positive energy
Hao Min’s accomplished one of his resolutions of 2012, like Anson: to go on a family holiday.
As for the other resolutions for 2012, Hao Min shared her experience in learning level 2 Korean. “During the preliminary and preparations for the exams, I found the exam questions were much harder and decided not to go for the exams. In retrospect, I realised to be able to converse is more important than reading or writing. Hence I will continue my classes, and focus instead on the language and communication. I hope to be able to become an emcee or host for Korean activities and interview Korean artistes.”
In 2013, Hao Min hopes to find a work–life balance and not burn out. She also hopes to spend more time with her family and maybe go on a holiday. Regarding relationships, she hopes love will find its way. So for all you single men out there, this means hope!
If there’s one wish , she hopes to change all negativity to positive energy. This way, come what may, we can all face life’s challenges with hope and faith!
Yi Hui – Clarity in the New Year
Yi Hui shares that due to certain circumstances in 2012, life has become even more complete.
Like many in the working class, Yi Hui wishes to have a home she can call her own – “It’s not a reality yet, but soon… *sob*.” She also shares her house-hunting experience in 2012: after considering the price of ownership, she decided not to become its slave. She feels it could be better spent on travelling.
Yi Hui hopes the past will be bygones. In 2013, she hopes to better understand herself and have a clear purpose and clarity of goals.
“If I was given a wish in the new year, I would wish for continuous joy. Having joy and happiness in life is a very wonderful thing.”
988 DJ 2013新展望
2013年将至，988 Dj们除了忙碌的准备新一年的节目外，对于新一年的来临，同样充满期待与祝福。
ANSON阿晨 – 一家出游乐融融
阿晨说，今年达成的愿望就是今年4月和家人来个“家庭旅行”，这是全家人第一次一起出国，选了到台湾游玩。“而且全程都是我们兄弟姐妹策划行程，赞！哈哈。”阿晨沾沾自喜道。
至于没达到的愿望，阿晨显得有点不好意思：“今年没瘦下来……唉，明年再谈吧。”减肥是一辈子的事业，阿晨别着急，《红番茄》编辑部同仁和你共勉哦！
说到2013年，阿晨希望在工作里可以散播更多地开心气氛。家庭方面，一家平安健康就很满足了。“感情嘛，没有任何期盼喔，因为还不是重要的一块。”
还有，阿晨希望明年可以尝试学一种新语言，不过他也有点顾虑：“若英文也没学得很好，还可以学懂其他语言吗？”身为DJ，语言天分该会占点优势，相信阿晨可以达成的。
问阿晨，若天使可以帮你实现一个新年愿望，他希望是什么？他大笑：“哇哈哈哈哈……不切实际的愿望—就是变成人见人爱，实际一点的就是—神啊，请替我搞定所有屋贷、车贷、卡债兼给我我一张VVIP环游世界通行证， yeah～～ ”。
Kian 阿健 – 想完成1本小说
说到今年的计划，阿健“如数家珍”：“我今年希望做成的3件事是，第一是学游泳，但是没有成功；第二是学骑摩多，也是没成功；第三是学日文，这个进行得不错，而且还参加了初级考试！”3个计划有完成1个，阿健也算有收获。
阿健补充道：“学游泳和学骑摩多没达成，很大的原因是自己想要做的其他事太多了，所以延迟又延迟，最后就没做到啦！我感觉还好，虽然我希望学习的没成功，但我也完成了很多计划意外的东西，我个人还觉得满意啦！不过明年一定会完成这两个目标，至少要做到其中一样。”
阿健说，至于家庭方面，新一年希望可以有新生命的加入。至于工作发光面，还是会全力以赴。而原来阿健要往作家行列迈进，他希望可以借助目前工作的优势往更多的方面发展，完成他想写小说的心愿。
至于说若天使可以帮他实现一个新年愿望，他说自己不贪心，希望全家人平安健康就够了。毕竟有健康的身心，才可以完成其他的事情。
HAO MIN 皓敏 – 把负能量全变正能量
和阿晨一样，皓敏说今年能和家人一起去旅行，也是达成了她的愿望之一。
至于为完成的计划，皓敏透露，是考韩文测试Level 2。“报考后在做试题时发现考题太难而放弃去考试。后来把目标理清，觉得实际沟通比文字书写来得重要。所以继续上课，但把专注力放在语言沟通上。希望下次的韩流活动主持可以直接用韩语与艺人沟通。”
在新一年里，皓敏希望工作量和生活能够取得平衡，不会把自己累坏；家庭方面，则依然希望明年有时间和家人出外旅行。说到感情，皓敏则坦诚，希望2013里有着落。各位有心男士，听到了就要行动啦。
皓敏说，若天使可以帮她实现一个新年愿望，她希望把自己和身边的负能量都转为正能量。这样一来，无论生活里有多少得失，每一个人都能够轻松看待，保持好心情。
Yihui 弈卉 – 新一年目标要更清晰
弈卉说，今年因为一些经历，人生变得更完整。
而“居者有其屋”，是每个上班族的愿望，弈卉也不例外，她有点懊恼道“但是，房子还买不成（哭……）”
弈卉表示，她这一年看了一些房子、比较了价格，一直没决定要不要成为“房奴”。后来，还是没买成，她笑说，那些钱可以拿来旅行。
说到新一年的展望和计划，她说，过去总是随遇而安，但毕竟人生过了四分一，期许未来一年可以更了解自己，目标更清晰。
“至于说，若天使可以帮我实现一个新年愿望，我希望喜悦得以延续。快乐的生活，那就是很美妙的一个情况了。”
