Petaling Jaya Marriott Hotel invites diners to savour The Laut: A Seafood Treasury, a premium weekend seafood buffet at The Atrium inspired by Malaysia’s rich maritime heritage and coastal flavours.
Drawing from the waters of the Strait of Malacca, the fishing villages of Kuala Selangor and the well-known seafood of Sabah, The Laut celebrates a true sea-to-table experience.





The buffet brings the best of local seafood to the table while celebrating Malaysia’s coastal communities and long-standing traditions.Available every Saturday, guests can enjoy an abundant selection of premium seafood that showcases the diversity of Malaysia’s seas. A highlight of the experience is the Mud Crab Duet, featuring two indulgent takes on one of the nation’s most beloved delicacies.
The classic Malaysian Chili Crab is wok-fried in a sweet and savoury tomato chili sauce with fragrant spices and paired with warm golden mantao. Alongside it is the Creamy Salted Duck Egg Crab, where tender mud crab is coated in a rich, velvety salted egg yolk sauce for a bold and satisfying alternative.
Beyond the signature crab dishes, the buffet features an impressive seafood spread including Sabah lobster, tiger prawns, fresh oysters, clams, mussels and a rotating selection of the day’s catch. Live cooking stations add excitement as chefs prepare wofired specialties, grilled seafood and local favourites to order. The chilled seafood counter offers freshly shucked oysters, premium shellfish and refined accompaniments.

A dedicated Malaysia Heritage Corner highlights comforting local favourites such Laksa Kedah, Prawn Mee and a lively Skewer Station, served with eight signature dipping sauces inspired by Malaysia’s multicultural flavours. Hot and carving stations present generous centrepieces including Siakap Coulibiac, aromatic Fish Head Curry, Sambal Udang and Spanish Seafood Paella, offering a balance of local classics and international influences. To end the evening on a sweet note, diners can enjoy live Durian Crepe
Suzette flambe, freshly torched Crème Brulee, artisanal cakes and a selection of traditional Malaysia kuih.
The Laut is available every Saturday from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM, starting 3 April 2026.
