MOTAC Media Appreciation Ceremony and Heritage Night 2024: Celebrating the Colours of Malaysia”

More than a thousand people, including media practitioners and MOTAC citizens attended the Media Appreciation Ceremony and MOTAC Heritage Night 2024 organized by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) which took place on 8 March 2024 at Sunway Resort Hotel, Bandar Sunway.
The ceremony was officiated by YB Dato Sri Tiong King Sing, Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, and attended by YB Tuan Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture and MOTAC Top Management.


The theme of this event, “Colours of Malaysia”, aims to further strengthen the close relationship between media friends and the ministry and appreciate the cooperation that has been given by the media over the years.
The opening of this appreciation ceremony was opened with a lion dance performance, in addition to the “Voices of Malaysia” performance to highlight the cultural and ethnic diversity in this country.
The dinner also featured interactive exhibitions, creative performances and a dinner menu featuring the diversity of Malaysian culture.
The food served includes a breakfast set as a promotion of heritage food listed on the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) by the National Heritage Department (JWN).
In conjunction with the celebration of International Women’s Day, YB Minister and YB Deputy Minister also personally presented a flower to the female guests who attended as an appreciation for their unwavering service to the country.
