At the heart of Cantonese Chinese New Year celebrations is the belief that food carries symbolism
— of abundance, harmony and longevity. Wan Chun Ting’s festive offerings embrace these values
through carefully selected premium ingredients, meticulous preparation and flavours that remain
true to tradition while offering a polished, contemporary touch.
The Chinese New Year experience begins with a selection of auspicious Yee Sang, a must-have ritual
of prosperity and togetherness. Highlights include Pearl Abalone and Norwegian Salmon Yee Sang,
Crispy Soft-Shell Crab Yee Sang, Hokkaido Scallops with Snow Pear Yee Sang and 10-head Abalone
Yee Sang, each tossed to wishes of success, happiness and good fortune.
For reunion lunches and dinners, guests may choose from a range of Chinese New Year set menus,
thoughtfully structured for communal dining. Signature dishes include comforting double-boiled
chicken soups enriched with ingredients such as black matsutake mushroom, fish maw or mini
abalone; delicately prepared seafood like sautéed turbot fish with hot oil and oven-baked cod fish
in a crispy golden cup; and celebratory centrepieces such as braised sun-dried oysters with goose
web, stir-fried scallops with XO sauce, and the indulgent 10-head abalone with bean curd skin and
garden greens.
The meal concludes with classic Chinese New Year desserts that evoke familiarity and warmth,
including steamed and deep-fried Nian Gao, Purple Glutinous Rice with Bird’s Nest and Coconut
Milk, and other traditional sweet treats symbolising unity and progress.
Beyond the set menus, Wan Chun Ting also offers an extensive à la carte and dim sum selection,
ideal for relaxed daytime gatherings. From handcrafted dim sum favourites to slow-cooked
Cantonese specialties, the menu reflects the restaurant’s dedication to culinary heritage,
craftsmanship and balance.

Lion Dance & Live Chinese Music Performances
Adding to the festive atmosphere, the hotel will host a vibrant Lion Dance performance on
26 February 2026 at 10.00am. At Wan Chun Ting, guests can also enjoy live Gu Zheng performances
by a traditional Chinese musician on selected dates — 16, 23, and 27 February, as well as
3 March 2026, from 7.15pm to 9.00pm. The melodic strains of the Gu Zheng provide an elegant
backdrop to reunion dinners, enhancing the sense of occasion and immersing diners in the spirit of
Chinese New Year.
Set within the elegant surroundings of Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara, Wan Chun Ting offers a
refined yet welcoming setting for reunion meals, corporate gatherings and festive celebrations. The
restaurant’s Chinese New Year offerings are available for a limited time, with advance reservations
encouraged.
Wan Chun Ting’s Chinese New Year offerings are available from 7 January to 3 March 2026. Guests
may choose from three curated Chinese New Year Set Menus — the Prosperity Menu priced at
RM288+ per person, the Fortune Menu at RM338+ per person, and the Wealth Menu at RM398+
per person, with a minimum of four persons per table. In addition, the restaurant presents its
Signature Prosperity Yee Sang selection, available in half and whole portions, with prices starting
from RM98+ to RM398+ for premium 10-head abalone. Complementing the dining experience,
Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara also offers a Fortune Bloom Afternoon Tea from RM168+,
alongside Chinese New Year Signature Hampers starting from RM288+, available for order and
collection until 18 February 2026.
