Palace of the Golden Horses hosted “Dua Perayaan, Satu Semangat,” an evening that brought together the celebration of Chinese New Year and the arrival of Ramadan, reflecting Malaysia’s values of harmony and unity.

Held on the 7th day of Chinese New Year, known as Ren Ri or the Birthday of All, the occasion symbolises the shared birthday of humanity and reminds communities of equality, gratitude and collective blessings. Taking place on the eve of Ramadan, the event highlighted Malaysia’s ability to honour diverse traditions within one shared space.
Ramadan is a sacred month observed by Muslims worldwide. It is a time of fasting, reflection and spiritual renewal. The values of compassion, discipline and togetherness resonate across communities. The convergence of these two celebrations created a meaningful platform for cultural joy and spiritual reflection.
Inspired by the vision of Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew, founder of Palace of the Golden Horses, the evening reflected the Three Horse Carriage concept, symbolising harmony and shared direction. The event gathered leaders from government, interfaith organisations, businesses and the media, reinforcing mutual respect and national unity.
Distinguished guests included Tan Sri Effendi Norwawi, Puan Sri Tiara Jacquelina, Tan Sri Ariffin Yusof, Admiral Tan Sri Mohd Anwar Mohd Nor, YB Dato’ Seri S. Vell Paari Kayveas and Tan Sri Dato’Sri Haji Abdul Kadir bin Sheikh Fadzir, former Minister of Culture, Arts and Tourism Malaysia.
Highlights of the evening included a traditional lion dance symbolising prosperity and the Loh Sang prosperity toss reflecting shared aspirations. Guests broke fast together at Maghrib, followed by Tarawih prayers in an atmosphere of respect and fellowship.
Guests were also introduced to Warisan Selera Utara, the hotel’s signature Ramadan dining experience at the Royal Ballroom from 21 February to 15 March 2026. The buffet features Northern Malaysian heritage cuisine alongside international selections, offering a meaningful culinary journey that reflects the spirit of Ramadan, sharing, gratitude and togetherness.
A key highlight was the unveiling of Light of Quran, The Longest Quran Paper Cut Scroll in the World. Measuring 208 metres, the masterpiece reflects artistic excellence and a shared appreciation of faith, heritage and cultural expression.
The celebration reaffirmed Palace of the Golden Horses as a platform for cultural understanding and unity, reflecting Malaysia’s strength as a diverse nation united by shared values.
