The Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) today reaffirmed its strong partnership with members of the media through the second edition of its Media Engagement (Vol. 2), held at De.Wan 1958 by Chef Wan, Bangsar Shopping Centre.
The engagement session brought together editors, journalists and media partners to share MyCEB’s latest achievements, strategic initiatives and preparations for Malaysia Business Events Week (MBEW) 2026, while recognising the media’s continued role in promoting Malaysia as a leading Business Events destination.

Speaking at the event, MyCEB Chief Executive Officer, Ms Tan Mei Phing, highlighted MyCEB’s success in securing Business Events scheduled for 2026 to 2030.
“As of 30 June 2026, MyCEB has secured 416 Business Events to be held from 2026 to 2030, with a projected Estimated Economic Impact (EEI) of RM3.98 billion. These achievements reflect the continued confidence of international organisers in Malaysia’s capabilities, strong industry ecosystem and world-class hospitality.”
She added that MyCEB continues to strengthen Malaysia’s global competitiveness through international sales missions, strategic partnerships, enhanced media and digital communications, and industry development initiatives that support the sustainable growth of the Business Events industry.
As part of its commitment to strengthening industry engagement, MyCEB also introduced the inaugural edition of the BE Horizon Bulletin, a new publication featuring market insights, industry developments and updates on Malaysia’s Business Events landscape. The bulletin, together with other publications and industry resources, is available on the MyCEB website.
Looking ahead, Ms Tan invited members of the media to participate in Malaysia Business Events Week (MBEW) 2026, which will be held from 3 to 5 August 2026 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre under the theme, “Weaving Horizons: Shaping the Tapestry of Tomorrow.”
“The media has always been one of MyCEB’s most valued strategic partners. We look forward to welcoming members of the media to MBEW 2026 as we continue to showcase Malaysia’s Business Events success stories and reinforce the nation’s position as one of Asia’s preferred Business Events destinations.”
MyCEB remains committed to working closely with government agencies, industry stakeholders and media partners to attract high-value Business Events and International Sporting Events that generate lasting economic, social and knowledge-based benefits for Malaysia.
