The Royal Ballroom at Palace of the Golden Horses came alive with the vibrant spirit of Peranakan heritage during Baba Nyonya Peranakan Ball and GHHS Healthcare Open House.
We were honoured to welcome distinguished members of the diplomatic community, including H.E. Ajay Sharma CMG, British High Commissioner to Malaysia; H.E. Noriyuki Shikata, Ambassador of Japan to Malaysia; H.E. Ekitela Moru, High Commissioner of the Republic of Kenya; H.E. Dr Ismael Maddalah Suliman Maautah, Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, accompanied by Madam Khadije Wehbi; H.E. Ms Lada Phumas, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand; representatives from Russia and South Africa; YBhg. Hosted by TS Lee Kim Yew, the celebration featured authentic Nyonya cuisine, cultural performances, an angklung ensemble, a kebaya fashion parade, and a lively Baba Nyonya wedding showcase.
